From 01/11/2020 onwards

the ERC Certificate will contain the following information:

  • YOUR NAME (with date of birth if it was entered into the system before)

  • THE CERTIFICATE NAME

  • OPTIONAL: where you took the last course and who was the director/lead instructor

  • THE DATE OF THE LAST ERC COURSE RELEVANT TO THAT CERTIFICATE

  • A LINK AND CODE TO VERIFY THE VALIDITY OF THE CERTIFICATE (ACCESSIBLE TO ANYONE WHEN YOU GIVE THEM THE LINK AND CODE)

As you can see there is no date of expiration as we feel as ERC that this is likely contextual and might be subject of external rules and regulations. What is crucial for ERC is the deadline for recertification: (see also the different FAQ about [how to recertify]):

  • until that date you have access to all course related learning materials
  • until that date you can register for a recertification module, thus entering the ERC recertification trajectory

Once you are beyond the recertification deadline, you can only regain access to course materials and have a new date of course on your certificate by doing once more a full provider course.

FOR provider who receive an Instructor Potential (IP) nomination, an additional sentence indicates the deadline to follow an instructor course

FOR instructors, an additional sentence indicates that a certificate will expire if the requirements for recertification as specified in the ERC course rules are not met (see also the different FAQ about [how to recertify])
