WARNING: removing personal data may lead to irreversibly losing any personal link or trace of membership, trainings, certificates or qualifications. The controller however will keep a printed record of the request of removal for reasons of proof and Controller’s liability. Such printed records will not be processed by automated means and neither in a filing system or with the intention to form part of a filing system, hence the GDPR regulation does not apply[4].
When you login to your CoSy account, you can delete your account under the "Privacy" tab.
Click on "Contact form" to open the correct page.

On the contact form you can choose for erasure or data portability.
Erasure is the complete removal of all your data from the ERC database.
Data portability is the complete removal of all your data from ERC database + a copy of your data in a digital format.

When you request account deletion and you have valid certificates, you may be asked to provide additional identification in the form of valid ID.
We ask for identification to make sure that you are the owner of the data you are requesting to delete (in accordance with recital 64 of the General Data Protection Regulation). As deletion is irreversible and any of your valid certificates will be removed as well, this serves to prevent others with malicious intent from deleting your information.
Your request for removal and the copy of your ID will not be stored in any digital system and are not part of any filing system (article 6.2 of the ERC data policy).
For more information on how ERC handles your data, read our data policy here.
